In Thassos the 8th International convention of Astronomy

   In Thassos is held from today until Saturday the 15th of September, the 8th International Convention of Astronomy, that the Greek Astronomical Company and Dimokriteio University Thrace organise. This year's convention is dedicated in the anniversary of 50 years from the exploration of Space, in other words from the day that Sputnik was sent into Space, the first artificial satellite that went in orbit around earth. This event is supported by the "Hyperprefecture" of Drama-Kavala-Xanthi, the Prefecture of Kavala, the Municipality of Thassos and the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace.
